A. Upon review of the application, the Planning Director or designee shall approve the sign permit provided the sign meets all requirements of this Ordinance, and all other applicable electrical and North Carolina Building Code requirements.

B.  Signs shall be installed in accordance with the approved sign permit within one year of the date of official permit approval or the permit shall expire and require a new sign permit application and approval. The Planning Director or designee may extend the validity of the sign permit with documentation that a good faith effort is being made to install and receive final approval of the subject sign(s).
